Would you like an exciting new role? Are you enthusiastic about the care and education of children?

Due to retirement we are looking to find an experienced, enthusiastic  co-ordinator who will oversee, create and run the club for 4 to 12 year olds. Working for a volunteer management committee and managing several playworkers, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the childcare setting.

You must have experience of working in a childcare environment. A sense of fun and commitment to making the after school club an enjoyable place for the children is central to the role along with a working knowledge, understanding and application of Ofsted guidelines and national standards.

A level-3 qualification in childcare or equivalent is a requirement for the role.

The working pattern is 30 hours per week with a quarter of that ‘non-contact’ the other hours are split over breakfast (7.30-8.45am)  and afterschool (3pm-6.15pm)

Deputy Coordinator Post

Peak Time Kids’ Club takes pride in delivering high quality care for children, we are well established and have been operating in our own premises, on the site of St Michael’s School in Hathersage for 24 years. We are led by a voluntary management Committee and accommodate children from all the schools in The Hope Valley.

Our candidate will need to be professional, well organised and demonstrate effective communication skills. They will be a role model for our staff and children. They will need the ability to use judgement, common sense, prioritise and make competent decisions.

 This is a part time post to include breakfast club (7.25- 8.40) After school Club (2.55- 6.10) and holiday club which is a five-and-a-half-hour morning or afternoon shift.

Ideally, we would like to appoint someone with Early years experience, with level 3 qualification in play work or childcare or teaching related discipline but training will be available.

Initially the post would be for 15-17 hours, term time, increasing with experience. The successful candidate would also be expected to work during school holidays.
